Contact Virginia Beach Bathroom Remodeling

One phone call reaches an independent local contractor who remodels bathrooms in Virginia Beach. Describe the room once, say who uses it, and you can talk through what has to be decided before the walls close and what can wait.

Remodeler reviewing a bathroom layout with a homeowner in Virginia Beach

Where we cover

Virginia Beach and the surrounding Hampton Roads area, including the Oceanfront and the older cottages behind it, Great Neck, Hilltop, Kempsville, Princess Anne, Sandbridge, Red Mill, Thalia, Pungo, Bayside, Chesapeake Beach, Little Neck, Lynnhaven, Indian River and Salem Lakes.

The housing stock varies a great deal across those neighbourhoods, and it changes what a remodel involves. Much of the city is slab-on-grade, so moving a drain is a different job from moving a drain over a crawlspace, and that single fact often decides whether a layout can change at all. Older Oceanfront and Princess Anne properties tend to hide more behind the tile than a newer build does.

When you can reach us

Weekdays

Calls answered from early morning through the evening, which is the easiest time to arrange someone to come and look at the room.

Weekends

Answered as well. Saturday mornings are often the simplest time for a homeowner to walk a contractor round the bathroom without rushing.

Out of hours

The line is answered around the clock. If it is a burst supply line or an active leak rather than a remodel, say so when you call: that is an emergency plumbing job and wants a different trade first.

What to have ready when you call

  • Who actually uses the bathroom, and whether that is likely to change while you still live there.
  • Roughly how long you plan to stay in the house.
  • Whether you want the layout to stay where it is, or the bath, shower or vanity to move.
  • What the floor is built on, if you know: slab, crawlspace or a room above another room.
  • Anything you have already noticed, such as a soft floor, a slow drain, a stain on a ceiling below, or tile that sounds hollow.
  • Whether it is the only bathroom in the house, because that changes how the work has to be staged.

None of it has to be exact. It is enough to let the contractor tell you, on the first call, whether what you want is a straight replacement or a job that moves plumbing.

What happens after the call

You describe the room

Who uses it, how long you are staying, and what you would like it to do. A few minutes is usually enough.

A contractor comes and looks

Nothing about drain positions, framing or what sits behind the tile can be settled properly from a phone call. Someone needs to see the room.

You decide

You deal with the contractor directly from that point. Permit requirements and review routes are set by the City of Virginia Beach and should be confirmed for your own property before work starts.

We are a referral service, not a contractor, and we do not carry out the work ourselves.
